DIANA CLONCH | FOUNDER

Diana Clonch has over 30 years of experience in public works with a diverse background in operations, management, and snow and ice control at the county, city, and state levels. Diana has spent many years working with local and national groups promoting the advancement and application of best practices and innovative technology within operations and snow and ice control. Recently retired from the public works system, Diana is now acting as a consulting specialist focusing on management, operations, snow and ice control training, and innovative technologies. Diana holds an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering as well as an Undergraduate and Master’s in Business. Diana serves on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Chapter American Public Works Association State Board, is a founding member and past Chair of the National APWA Winter Maintenance Sub-committee, and is an active member of the Snow and Ice Management Association.

DIANE WATKINS | ASSOCIATE

Diane Watkins spent her 30-year career with the Public Works Department serving the citizens of the City of Cincinnati. During her time with the agency, she was involved in all aspects of road construction and maintenance, fleet management, and emergency service response. Since retiring as the Superintendent, she has been working with agencies to achieve best practices in snow and ice control, as well as other public works-related fields. Diane is a Past President for the State of Ohio APWA and continues to serve on the Board of Directors at the State and Local levels.

EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANS - STEVE SCHWARTZ AND DAVE WATKINS

Both Steve and Dave have over 30 years of experience each in public service directly involved with snow and ice fleet operations, maintenance, upfitting, calibration, and modifications. Both are well versed and experienced in liquids production, blending and applications. Through many year’s work with application equipment, troubleshooting and program implementation are proven skill sets as well.

Partner: BP’s Safety Training, LLC

Assisting DW Clonch with training needs, BP’s Safety Training L.L.C. provides clients with training and advising for a number of operational challenges in the commercial and public service world. Owner, Bryan Pickworth has over 31 years as a full-time employee of the City of Farmington Hills, MI.

Working up from a laborer to supervisor. Bryan’s experience includes oversight of various road maintenance activities related to storm drainage maintenance, forestry operations, right-of-way maintenance, snow and ice control, sign shop, and street sweeping. Right of way and parking lot maintenance safety topics that Bryan has focused on include: all seasons of operations, calibration, use of liquids, safe equipment operation, specification writing and supervision to name a few.

With a passion for snow and ice control as an operator and a mentor, Bryan has helped train numerous agencies and has presented at various national APWA North American Snow Conferences, the APWA Michigan Road Scholar program, APWA National Supervisor & Operator certificate courses as well as other local APWA and Commercial trainings across the country. Bryan helped develop the Southeast Michigan Metro Region training program called Snow Plow Operators Training program and help develop and train at the state Michigan Winter Operations Conference in collaboration with Michigan CTT and Michigan LTAP.
